    Stone over door inscribed "Squire M Brown" who was the original owner. Permanent File of Cobblestone Structures.

    The Squire M. Brown barn, 1133 Route 5, Elbridge, was built about 1850. For many years it has been a garden center. Brown settled in Elbridge in 1816 and was supervisor for several years. He also served in the New York State Legislature and was a very active in public life. Brown was a prosperous farmer and for several years was president of the Onondaga County Agricultural Society.
